SSA futures camp

The last few days I have been lucky enough to be involved with the SSA (Ski and Snowboard Australia) futures camp. It was basically a two day program where a group of kids got coach by myself and several other Australian pros on the different things that go into creating a slopestyle run.

I think the kids got a lot out of it, with a couple walking away from the program with new tricks and others with a new understanding on what it takes to plan a run out on a slopestyle course.

Some of the kids sliding the C-rail.

It will be interesting to see how the kids put what they have learned to the test as there is a slopestyle event under lights tonight at Perisher.

Whenever I get the chance to help out and pass on some of my experience I have gained over the years, I jump at the opportunity. I like being able to help the younger generation and hopefully help them get everything out of freeskiing they want.

Unfortunately I can’t relly ski at the moment. I have had my wisdom teeth removed and I am in a lot of pain. Hopefully I can ski sooner rather than later because Perishers park right now is super super fun.

Stay tuned
