Thanks Redbull

Yesterday was probably the most fun I have ever had in 1 day. Redbull sure knows how to treat there athletes to a good time. The day started out by going up to snowpark for a ski. All we were told by Redbull was to bring a change of clothes and that we would be leaving the mountain at 1 to make it to lunch and to the venue for the fun afternoon.

We headed down the mountain and started to drive out of town. I had no idea where we were going but all I was doing was hoping it was not bungy jumping or sky diving. I couldn’t think of anything worse haha. Turns out we went to a mansion just out side of Wanaka and the guy that owns the palace has some really fun toys. First activity was golf with a twist. You had to chip the ball down and into a little pool of water. Turns out PK is incredibly good and I suck.

Once we had played a little golf and eaten, it was time for the fun to begin. This guy had everything you could ever want. His garage where he keeps his ”toys” is ridiculous. First activity of the day was a off road rally drive with PK and Harry. I was shitting myself at first but in the end it was a blast.

Ready for the ride of our lives.

This car can literally go where ever it wants. Up, down and over anything in its path

The next activity of the day was jet boating. This is just as fun as the rally ride only I got really wet.

Following jet boating we got to shoot guns. I had never shot a gun before so it was a really cool experience. Its a lot harder than call of duty haha.

Turns out PK is pretty good at shooting as well.

Then we ended the day with a helicopter ride. I’m not quite sure what part of the day was the best. I had an amazing time doing all the activities and I don’t think I can describe to you how much fun and how fortunate I am to have experienced all of these things ( in a matter of hours).

Two more days left of the Redbull performance camp and I have my fingers crossed for some good weather and fun times. Then its time for the NZ open. I’m stoked to be doing this again and I hope it goes well.
