dew tour big air

So last night was the first ever Dew Tour big air. I was feeling pretty good coming into the event. I have finally figured out my switch dub 12. Last year I learnt the trick but I had a lot of problems with drifting and also with taking off too early. Last night I wasn’t drifting as much as usual and I was was a lot more patient on the take off. Unfortunately the jump wasn’t huge due to the lack of snow here in Breckenridge but it was still super super fun.

I was in the first heat, which in my opinion was stacked. I did a switch dub 12, on my frist run, then tried a switch dub 12 mute to japan and didnt quite go big enough. Then my last run I went as big as I could and landed a switch dub 12 mute to japan, something I had never done before, so I was PUMPED. Unfortunately the score I got was enough to get me through to finals but I was happy with my skiing.

Congrats to Kai Mahler, Gus Kenworthy and Henrick Harlaut for getting the podium.

Mid switch dub 12 during training!

Heading up to watch mens pipe finals now and then the game begins again tomorrow with slopestyle semi finals.
