So as you have probably noticed, I haven’t been blogging a whole lot, mainly because there hasn’t really been anything to write about. We’ve had a really slow start to the season here in Australia compared to usual which has made for a very boring/frustrating couple of weeks.
About two or three weeks prior to the season starting it was looking really good, we had a huge snowfall and the mountains were white, but after that snow fall, the temperatures rose and the next storm that cam through brought bucket loads of rain, which turned the white mountains back to green.
Although we haven’t had any snow storms over the last few weeks, the cold night’s have meant the snowmaking crew up at Perisher has been able to blow a lot of snow. So that means the park is slowly taking shape, still very early days but it’s better than nothing.
At the moment the park is in the middle of a rebuild, last night they added a flat tube and a down tube and tonight they are supposedly going to add another couple of features, so I will definitely be back up there tomorrow.
Boen Sliding the new flat tube put in last night
Myself, Zac and Boen. As you can see in the background, there is NO snow outside of the snow making areas.
Although we don’t have that much snow at the moment, it’s still really fun to be skiing in Australia with my mates again. Feels good to be home.
