Yesterday Laura and I pretty much had our own private tour guides. While Tom and Steph were here they introduced us to a few of there friends that had recently moved out here, Blake and David. We had had dinner with them the night before and they had offered to take us to the north shore and show us around. It turned out to be an absolutely amazing day.
First stop on the north shore was at a beach, which for some reason unbeknownst to me, seemed to attract a lot of turtles. We were in the water with them and taking as many photos as we possibly could. We even saw a baby turtle which we had been told is super rare.
Following the turtles experience we went and chilled at a secluded beach for about an hour before grabbing some fresh fruit and making our way into a small town called Hale’iwa, to stand up paddle board down the river. To our surprise we managed to see turtles in the river as well. I even paddle over one by accident haha.
We capped of the day by watching the sun set on the west coast. Literally nothing could have been better about yesterday. It was so rad to see more of the island and to see turtles
All in all I’d say it was one of the best days we have had on the Island and today we are meeting back up with Blake and David to do some more activities.
