Well I didn’t really go water skiing, but it definitely felt like it. My brother, Darren, had come down to Jindabyne from Canberra to go skiing with me. Unfortunately for us, it turned out to be one of the worst days imaginable. It was windy, cold, foggy and it was also raining. When we got to the Car park I couldn’t think of anything worse than going out skiing in the worst weather imaginable.
Obviously I am very fortunate and I’m able to pick and choose which days to ride, but for Darren that wasn’t the case and he was still super keen to get out there and have a slide. I decided to suck it up and head out there and brave the elements.
We skied for two hours, which I honestly thought I wasn’t even going to make it that long. Although the weather was as bad as it was, we still had a good time riding in the trees, in and out of the fog and jumping off of every little rock we could find! By the time we were finished though, our gear looked like we had jumped in a pool haha.
The storm looks like it has turned to snow over night and could potentially bring quite a bit more snow. I have my fingers crossed for that because I have had quite a bit of fun on the pow days we have had snow far here this season!
Its raining here in Jindy so I have no idea what the plan for today is!
Over and out,
